About Hannah’s Home

Hannah’s Home of South Florida is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit maternity home located in Tequesta, Florida that serves at-risk, pregnant women aged 18-30 who have been struggling with food insecurity, a lack of transportation, homelessness, unhealthy relationships, educational disruption, and isolation. We have a maximum capacity of 14 residents (mothers and children included in this number).

Our program provides the safety and stability needed to build a future for our resident mothers and their babies. Through case management, each mother is connected to medical and prenatal care, community resources, and other crucial support. As their crisis stabilizes, they are guided into a rich program designed to equip and empower both mother and child to flourish independently.

Our on-site Childcare Center allows our resident mothers to attend appointments, work, and pursue program goals while their little ones are cared for in a safe, nurturing environment.

Our Mission

Hannah’s Home of South Florida helps homeless, single, pregnant women and their babies overcome adversity, find hope, and learn to live victoriously.

Our History

Carol Beresford founded the first Hannah’s Home in Mentor, Ohio in 2001. Years later, she felt called to bring the mission to South Florida. Carol founded Hannah’s Home of South Florida in 2011. The home continues to grow on its three-acre campus in Tequesta, providing a safe and loving home for mothers and babies in need.
